when stress invades
when boredom overcomes
i have one defense
shut the shades
turn off the lights
lay down on my bed
to rest if sleep comes
fine, but if not
so much the better

i love waking dreams
to let my mind run wild
to fantasize about
places, about things i'll
never know
never see
never experience
that never have
or never will exist

but when my insane
revelry comes to it's
logical conclusions
or rather it's illogical end
things seem better
while some remain
some inspire
some sink into the
abyss from whence they came
