world events invade
my private space
the peace within
the places i hide
in my inner being
my heart
my soul
my mind

but i am helpless
to change
to effect
the events
that swirl
in the world
around me
but.....

if i can't change what occurs
what must occur
i can, i must change
how i view it
how i react to it
and with time, with contemplation
peace can return within
